Sailfish Release 2016 Schedule

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Head coach Chris Gnehm has announced his schedule for the 2016 season, as the Palm Beach Atlantic women’s soccer team enters their third year under his guidance.
The Sailfish will host nine home matches on the season, which includes hosting the PBA Kickoff Classic for the second consecutive season, as well as participating in a full Sunshine State Conference schedule for the second time. Palm Beach Atlantic is in the third and final year of a provisional membership with the conference and is on track to become full members for the 2016-17 school year.
Palm Beach Atlantic begins the season by hosting Spring Hill College on Sept. 1 at the Rinker Athletic Campus at 7 p.m. Two days later the ‘Fish will play host to Pace University to close out the PBA Kickoff Classic.
The Sailfish will then travel to Davie, Fla. to battle the Nova Southeastern Sharks on Sept. 6 in the first of two matches on the season. The Sharks will travel to the Rinker Athletic Campus in October, for a Sunshine State Conference match.
The ‘Fish will close out the non-conference portion of their schedule by playing host to Newberry College on Sept. 9 and Johnson and Wales University on Sept. 11.
Boca Raton is where PBA will open up the SSC portion of their schedule, as the Sailfish will battle with Lynn University on Sept. 14, looking to defeat the Fighting Knights for the second consecutive season. The Sailfish will also play road matches against Florida Southern, Florida Tech, Saint Leo, and Rollins on the season.
The University of Tampa will travel to West Palm Beach for the first home SSC match of the season on Sept. 24, and are joined by Nova Southeastern, Eckerd, Embry-Riddle, and Barry as SSC schools that will battle the ‘Fish at the Rinker Athletic Campus this season.
October 22 will serve as Senior Night for the 2016 season, as well as Vs. Cancer Night. Those interested in helping the Sailfish raise money for the Vs. Cancer Foundation, which funds lifesaving childhood cancer efforts, can CLICK HERE for more information on how to donate.
All home matches for the Sailfish will kick off at 7 p.m. with the exception of the Sept. 11 match against Johnson & Wales which is scheduled for a 2 p.m. start.
