Men's Soccer Announces 2016 Schedule

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- Palm Beach Atlantic men’s soccer and head coach Brian McMahon have announced their schedule for the upcoming 2016 season.
The defending NCAA South Region Champions finished last season with a 17-2-1 record and a shocking last minute defeat in the NCAA Quarterfinals. In just their second season at the Rinker Athletic Campus, the Sailfish hosted their first-ever NCAA South Region tournament, and finished the year 8-2 at home.
After two exhibition matches against NCAA Division I Florida International and Florida Atlantic, the Sailfish open their season in Morrow, Ga. as the ‘Fish take on Clayton State University on Thursday, Sept. 1. They make the 81 mile drive two days later to take on the University of North Georgia before heading back to the Sunshine State.
The Sailfish then take on defending NCAA Division II National Champions Pfeiffer University in the opening match of the Lynn University Showcase on Sept. 9.
The Blue and White open their home campaign against Palm Beach County rival Lynn University at the Rinker Athletic Campus Wednesday, September 14 at 7 p.m. The Sailfish will also host Sunshine State Conference (SSC) schools Florida Southern, Florida Tech, Saint Leo, and Rollins.
The furthest the Sailfish will travel during the regular season will be to Huntsville, Ala. for one game as the ‘Fish take on the University of Alabama Huntsville Sept. 25. Other key road matches include SSC play at Nova Southeastern University, Eckerd College, Embry-Riddle, Barry University, and the University of Tampa.
Palm Beach Atlantic wraps up the regular season on Saturday, Oct. 29 as the ‘Fish host cross-town rivals Keiser University as the ‘Fish honor their senior class of 2017.
