Sailfish Move Up in ITA Rankings

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic men’s tennis moved up to No.34 in the ITA National Rankings which were released Wednesday afternoon. The season has finished for the Sailfish, who will miss out on the 2016 NCAA South Region Tournament.

Senior Nicolas Uryson shot up the rankings this month, as the Buenos Aires, Argentina native defeated three ranked opponents this season and makes the jump from 16th to 7th in the singles rankings. This is the highest ranking for Uryson this season, as he began the season ranked No. 17.

Uryson, alongside Hendrik Burmeister, leaped into the Notional Doubles Rankings Wednesday, as the duo is ranked 19th. This marks the first time this season Palm Beach Atlantic has had a doubles team ranked nationally, as the pair is ranked sixth in the south region.

The Sailfish wrapped up their 2016 schedule last weekend, as they dropped their final match of the year 5-4 to Florida Tech.
