Women's Tennis Upended by No. 35 Rollins 5-1

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – No. 38 Palm Beach Atlantic was unable to pull the upset on Saturday, falling to No. 35 Rollins 5-1 before the match was called due to rain.
The Sailfish picked up their lone win at the second doubles flight as Kathi Tesar and Taylor Conti snagged an 8-4 win over Johanna Olsson and Teresa Kaiser. The ‘Fish were in position to win a pair of singles matches before rain halted play and the decision to end the match as Rollins had already secured the victory was made.
Valerie Nagovitcina was headed to the third set after winning the first 7-5 and dropping the second 4-6 to Carli Davis at the second singles flight while down one spot at No. 3 Teona Tatishvili was leading in the third 3-2 on Savanna Fuller. Tatishvili took the first set 6-4 before dropping the second 4-6.
Taylor Conti was also heading into the third set after winning the second 6-1 over Teresa Kaiser in the fourth spot.
The Sailfish will look to end their four-match losing streak on Tuesday as they host No. 29 Florida Tech in their home finale at 3:30 p.m.
