Men's Golf Closes Season at Buccaneer Invitational

MIAMI, Fla. –Three players shot 74 on the final day of the Buccaneer Invitational on Tuesday as the Palm Beach Atlantic men's golf team closed out their season.
Dylan Allen tied a team season low with a 68 in round one as the Sailfish wrapped up the first two rounds of the Buccaneer Invitational on Monday.
Allen sits in a tie for 25th out of 90 golfers after the first two rounds, coming back to shoot 75 in round two and sit at one-over through 36 holes. Sixteen players are under par after two rounds.
Ryan Fowler and David Liu had rounds of 73 during the day as did David Jizdny who is playing as an individual. Jizdny sits above the rest of the Sailfish with a 148 (75-73) with Ben Murray (75-75-150) and Fowler (73-77-150) right behind. Liu (79-73-152) and Daniel Langley (76-79-155) are close behind.
Mateo Gomez from Lynn leads the field by two shots after shooting seven under 65-70-135. Lynn (560) leads the team scoring as well holding a one stroke lead over Johnson & Wales (FL). PBA shot 592 and sits in 14th.
Murray, Fowler and Liu all shot 74 in the tournament's final round as Murray and Fowler tied for 70th after shooting 224 for the tournament. Liu finished the tournament at 226 and placed 76th. Daniel Langley shot 76 to finish at 231 and placed in a tie for 83rd. Jidznay, playing as an individual, shot one-under 71 on Tuesday and finished the tournament with a 219, tied for 29th.
After leading the Sailfish on Monday, Allen shot 77 on Tuesday to turn in a 220 for the tournament. He placed in a tie for 45th. The Sailfish shot 298 on the day and 890 for the tournament, finishing just one shot behind Tampa.
Nova Southeastern won the team title with an 846 with Mateo Gomez from Lynn capturing medalist honors with a 208 (65-70-73).
