Tennis Ranked in National ITA Rankings

SKILLMAN, N.J. – The Palm Beach Atlantic men’s tennis team is ranked 35th nationally by the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Team Rankings. The men dropped four spots, as they sat No. 31 in the previous poll. The Sailfish women’s tennis team moved up a spot in the latest poll, as the women now sit at No. 38

The Sailfish men are ranked No. 8 in the ITA South Region Poll, as the Saint Leo University Lions sit atop that list. The Sailfish women fell out of the most recent region top-10. The top eight men’s teams and the top six women’s teams from the South Region move on to the NCAA Regionals which take place May 7-10.

Senior Nicolas Uryson moved up a spot in the national rankings, as he is now ranked No. 16 nationally and eighth regionally. Uryson holds an 8-2 record on the season which includes a 2-2 record against ranked opponents.

The PBA men’s tennis team returns to the court March 29 as they face off with Florida Tech at the Mitch Gornto Tennis Center. The women are off until March 31 when they will play host to Eckerd College.
