Men's Golf Wraps Up Fifth Place Finish at Eagle Invitational

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic men’s golf team completed the 27th annual Eagle Invitational Monday afternoon. The Sailfish finished fifth in the tournament out of 10 teams competing. The Sailfish shot rounds of 296, 291, and 318. Tennessee Wesleyan won the tournament, shooting a final round 299 to pass Embry-Riddle and St. Thomas. The tournament was played at the LPGA International- Jones Course. The Sailfish will be back in action in two weeks at the Buccaneer Invitational in Miami Shores, Fla.
Day 2: The Sailfish shot a disappointing 318 Monday in the final round. Playing conditions were tough for round three as every team in the field shot their worst round of the tournament Monday.
Dylan Allen shot the best round for the 'Fish in round three shooting 76, and was closely followed by David Liu's final round 78. Liu finished in a tie for sixth overall on the leaderboard. Daniel Langley and David Jizdny both shot 82 in the final round, and both finished in a tie for 25th overall. Ben Murray shot a final round 83 and finishes the tournament in 30th.
Day 1: The Sailfish shot 296 and 291 on day one and sits at 11-over par. Embry-Riddle is leading the tournament and is 10 strokes ahead of PBA at 1-over par.
David Liu is in a tie for fifth overall as the sophomore shot rounds of 73 and 71 Sunday. David Jizdny and Daniel Langley took different paths to five-over par days as Jizdny shot 76-73 and Langley shot 71-78. Ben Murray also sits in the top-20 as the junior shot 76-74 on day one. Dylan Allen shot a disappointing first round 81 but followed it with an impressive 1-over 73 in round two. Competing only as an individual, Trent Harris shot impressive rounds of 73 and 77 Sunday.
The Sailfish will wrap up play at the 72-hole tourney Monday afternoon. Saty tuned for updated results after final round play is completed.
