Women's Golf Wraps Up Play at Buccaneer Invitational

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. - The Palm Beach Atlantic women's golf team finished play at the Lady Bucs Invitational on Tuesday, finishing with a three-round total of 997 (332-334-331). Florida Teach came back to win the tournament over the hosts Barry by eight strokes. The field for the tournament includes nine teams ranked in the top 20 nationally.
Victoria Hays led the way for the 'Fish on Monday, as she shot an impressive first round of an even-par 72. Hays followed the 72 with a second round 82 and currently sits in a tie for 45th in the field. Tracy Peyton shot consistent rounds on the afternoon, as she fired rounds of 82 and 81 on the day. Emily Valentine also shot similar rounds Monday, as she shot an 84 and an 83. Hayley Betz shot a 94 in round one, then took off six strokes to shoot 88 in round two Monday.
Hays again led the team, posting a team-low of 77 for the third and final round. She finished in a tie for 44th with a total of 231 (72-82-77). Peyton came back to shoot a 79 in the final round after carding two scores over 80 on Monday. She placed 65th. Valentine finished with a total of 253 (84-83-86) while Hayley Betz shot 89 in the final round Tuesday
The Sailfish will be in action again next week, playing in the Panther Invitational in Viera, Fla. from March 20-22.
