Women's Golf Climbs to Second Place Finish at Warner Invitational

SEBRING, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic women's golf team shot 333 on Tuesday in the second and final round of the Warner Invitational to overtake Webber International for second place. The second place finish is the best for the women's team this season.

The team will be off next week, but will travel to Miami Shores the following week to play in the Lady Bucs Invitational hosted by Barry University.

Day 2: PBA shot 333 on Tuesday, better than any other team in the ten-team field. Tracy Peyton shot a final round 81 to finish fourth on the overall leaderboard. Victoria Hays shot 79 on Tuesday, the only round in the 70's in the entire field. Her 79 propelled her all the way up to a tie for sixth position on the leaderboard.

Emily Valentine shot an 85 as her two rounds were also good enough for a top-10 finish as she finished eighth. Rounding out the scores for the Sailfish were Katie Humpreys with an 88 and Hayley Betz with a 103.

Day 1: The Palm Beach Atlantic women’s golf team sits in third place out of 10 teams competing after day one of the 4th annual Warner Invitational played at Sun ‘N Lake Golf Club. The team shot a 340 on Monday, and sits one stroke behind Webber International and 16 behind Southeastern University who is in first place.

Tracy Peyton and Emily Valentine both shot 83’s on Monday, best on the team as they both sit tied for fifth on the overall leaderboard. Katie Humphreys isn’t far behind, as the freshman shot 86 on Monday and sits in a tie for ninth on the leaderboard. Victoria Hays shot 88 on day one, and is in 14th position on the leaderboard.
