Women's Cross Country Takes Home Academic Awards

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Palm Beach Atlantic’s women’s cross country team was named a Scholar Team by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) along with two individuals who were named All-Academic.

Junior Alyssa Hearing and freshman Sophia Miller were both recognized for their individual achievement while the entire team was also recognized for their collective efforts.

The individual All-Academic honor was awarded to those athletes who have compiled a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25 and finished among the top 30 percent of eligible runners at his or her regional championships and/or the top half of the field at the NCAA Championships.

The team achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.424 during the previous semester.
