Men's Tennis Falls to Flagler 7-2

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The No. 30 Palm Beach Atlantic men’s tennis team came up short on Sunday afternoon, falling to the Flagler College Saints by a 7-2 count after a two and a half hour weather delay. The Sailfish fall to 1-1 on the 2016 season.
The Sailfish No.1 doubles team of Nicolas Uryson and Hendrik Burmeister gave the Sailfish a promising start to the day, as they defeated Storck/Gonzalez 8-4. They were the only Sailfish doubles team to win their match on the afternoon.
Uryson continued his hot start to the season, as the senior defeated Storck in No. 1 singles 6-1, 7-6 (7-5). The No. 2 singles match was a three-set thriller, as Hendrik Bermeister fell to Hermann Gertmann 7-6 (10-8), 4-6, 6-2. Senior Nicholas Battistini lost a close match as well as he fell 6-3, 7-6 (6-3).
The Sailfish are back in action on Wednesday, Feb. 10, as they play host to Keiser University at 3 p.m. at the Rinker Athletic Campus.
