Women's Golf Wraps Play at World Golf Invitational

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic women’s golf team opened up the 2016 half of their season at the World Golf Invitiational at the Slammer and Squire Golf Course.

PBA finished 17th out of the field of 18 teams after shooting 694 (346-348). Tracy Peyton led the team with a 164 (77-87) and finished tied for 54th place.

The 'Fish are back in action on Feb. 21-23 at the Grasslands Collegiate Invitational in Lakeland.

Round Two
Victoria Hays shot a PBA-low 82 on day two as the 'Fish stayed pretty steady with a 348 on the final day of play. Katie Humphreys showed the greatest improvement from the first to the second day, shooting an 88 on Monday, a 10-shot improvement from Sunday's round.

Hayley Betz also improved on day two, shooting 94 after posting a 100 on Sunday. The 'Fish finished seven strokes behind North Georgia who carded a 687.

Round One
Tracy Peyton shot an impressive first round of 5-over par 77. Peyton finished the day with 12 pars and shot an outstanding 37 on the back nine. Her round of 77 is good for 14th position on the overall leaderboard. Peyton is followed by Victoria Hays and Emily Valentine, who shot 85 and 86 respectively on the afternoon.

Also competing for the Sailfish on the day were Katie Humphreys and Hayley Betz, who finished with scores of 98 and 100. The Sailfish will look to finish the tournament strong on Monday, as tee-times start at 8:03 a.m. Live scoring is being provided and a link can be found at pbasailfish.com.
