Coach Gnehm Announces 2016 Signees

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic head women's soccer coach Chris Gnehm announced the signing of five incoming freshmen for the 2016 season on Wednesday. Three of the five don't have far to travel to Palm Beach Atlantic as they call South Florida home.
"This is a very exciting recruiting class for me, and a very exciting time for the growth of this program," said Coach Gnehm. "Each student athlete has unique qualities and talents that will bring excitement and positive energy to our current group. Additionally, they are all committed to doing things the PBA way, and for the glory of God. We are anxious to see what He has in store for this team and program."
Kelly Giddes - Kelly was a four-year starting striker and led her team in scoring all four seasons at Calvary Christian School in Old Bridge, N.J. Giddes finished her high school career with 141 career goals and was named 1st Team All-State Non Public School her Senior year, scoring 49 goals, 2nd highest in the state. Calvary Christian won back to back Penn Jersey League Titles her Junior and Senior year. Giddes also works as a soccer instructor with Athletes in Action summer camps and is very involved at her church helping to run soccer and basketball clinics as an outreach to the community.
Kianna Magner – Kianna was a four-year starting midfielder for Evangelical Christian School in Fort Meyers, Fla. and was a team captain her junior and senior years. Magner finished her high school career with 37 goals and 50 assists. Magner plays club soccer for the Florida Fire Juniors, who are currently ranked No. 2 in the state of Florida and has made the state Final Four the last two years. She is also a member of the National Honor Society, a Sentinel Scholar, and was on the Honor Roll all four years of High School.
Alondra Medina – Alondra played striker for four years at Suncoast High School in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. She has also played goalkeeper some during her high school career. Medina finished her high school career with 70 goals. Medina plays her club soccer for Jupiter United. Playing as a forward she helped her team make it to the Region III President's Cup in Lafayette, Louisiana. Academically Medina is an Honor Roll student in the International Baccalaureate program and was named an AP Scholar with Honor by College Board.
Kylee Rullo – Kylee, from Cape Coral, Fla. was a four-year varsity soccer starter for Evangelical Christian School in Fort Myers, Florida. As a freshman, Rullo helped her high school team reach the Florida State Finals and for the last two years she has been a co-captain as well as the Golden Boot award winner for most goals scored. Her high school soccer highlights include 149 career goals and 85 career assists. Rullo plays club soccer for the Florida Fire Juniors. Her club team is currently ranked No. 2 in the state of Florida and has made the state final four the last two years. Academically, Rullo is a member of the National Honor Society and student senate, and plans to study Marine Biology in college.
Riley Steele - Riley is a midfielder from Yakima, Wash. Steele was a four-year starter in soccer at West Valley High School. She helped West Valley to 75-8-1 record overall and four straight state tournament appearances. She tallied 37 goals and 54 assists in four year career. Steele was named first-team all-league in each season, and selected to the all-state team in final three seasons. Steele led her former club team Eastside FC to a second place finish in the Washington State Cup in 2014. She was selected to Golazo's best XI players in the state tournament that season.
