MOBILE, Ala.- Palm Beach Atlantic men’s soccer team and their nation-leading offense were held to only one goal Saturday afternoon at Library Field on the campus of Spring Hill College, but it was all that was needed as the ‘Fish defeated Southern Wesleyan University 1-0 to advance to 15-1-1 on the year.

Both teams were held scoreless in the opening half, but the Sailfish applied tremendous pressure on the Warrior defense, as the ‘Fish took 16 shots, with four of them being on target.

The lone goal on the afternoon came via Oscar Farias in the 48th minute when he scored after beating a defender on the left side of the box. The goal was Farias’ eighth on the season.

The Sailfish peppered another eleven shots after the Farias goal but were unsuccessful in adding to their score. Outside of the 1-0 score, the ‘Fish dominated the game offensively as the Sailfish outshot the Warriors 29-4 on the afternoon.

Steeven Raymont (15-1-1) added two saves to his total on the year this afternoon as the senior goalkeeper picked up his fourth clean sheet on the season.

The ‘Fish wrap up the regular season tomorrow, Nov. 8, in Mobile, Ala. as the Sailfish take on Spring Hill College. The match is set to begin as 4 p.m. EST.
