Women's Cross Country Wraps Season at NCAA Regional

ST. LEO, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic women’s cross country wrapped up their 2015 season on Saturday at the NCAA South Regional Meet host by Saint Leo University on Saturday at the Abbey Course.


Sophia Miller finished her stellar initial season with the ‘Fish with a 45th place finish, completing the 6K course in 24:33.47. Colett Rampf from Saint Leo took the individual crown with a time of 21:41.66, finishing nearly 20 seconds ahead of the next closest competitor.


The ‘Fish wrapped up the meet in 14th place with 349 points, just nine behind West Florida. Sophomore Alise Montgomery placed 70th for the ‘Fish with a time of 25:34.49, followed by Alyssa Hearing in 71st with a time of 25:42.50.


Tampa took the team title with 51 points followed by Saint Leo with 70 points. The Spartans had five place in the top 15 while the Lions had five in the top 21.


Lexi Fenton was 82nd in the meet with a time of 26:33.15 with Kayla Webbe turning in a time of 28:27.95. Faith Russell (32:43.11) and Sydney Jones (33:16.11) also competed for the Sailfish.
