Men's Soccer Ranked No. 1 in Latest NCAA Regional Poll

Indianapolis, Ind.- When the second official NCAA Regional Rankings for the 2015 season was released Wednesday afternoon, the Palm Beach Atlantic men’s soccer team sat atop the South Region Rankings.

This is the third consecutive week that the Sailfish sit atop the Regional Rankings. The regional rankings are used to determine who gets in the NCAA National Tournament at the end of the regular season.

PBA is a member of the south region, which will send four teams to the NCAA Tournament. Alongside PBA, the other ranked south region teams are Saint Leo University, Lee University, and Lynn University, all of whom the ‘Fish have faced previously this season, with the ‘Fish beating Saint Leo, as well as Lee, and tying Lynn.

The Sailfish are currently 14-1-1 on the year (11-1-1 regional record), and look to improve on their record this weekend in Mobile, Ala. as the ‘Fish play South Region opponents Southern Wesleyan University (Saturday) and Spring Hill College (Sunday). The final NCAA Regional Rankings will be released Monday, Nov. 9 and will determine the 38-team seeding for the NCAA Championships.
