Sailfish Wrap Up Play at the McDonough Cup

ORLANDO, Fla.- Sailfish men’s golf finished play at the McDonough Cup with the second and third rounds of the tournament Tuesday after Monday’s second round was delayed due to darkness. Lynn University came out as the winners of the tournament and PBA finished 21st.
Day Two: The ‘Fish stayed put in the standings after Day 2 finished as they delivered a second round performance consistent with the first round score of a 302. PBA improved in the third round however, led by Ben Murray’s stellar round of three-under par (75-74-69-218) which included four birdies and an eagle. Murray finished at an impressive 37th for the tournament individually. Daniel Langley (75-74-76-225) and David Liu (76-76-75-227) were also steady for Coach Craig Watson’s team. Nils Persson continued his solid tournament with rounds of 81 and 76. Rounding out the roster for the tournament were Ryan Fowler and David Jizdny with composite scores of 232 and 241.
Day One: The men were highlighted by Nils Persson; shooting an outstanding round of only two-over par (74). Once again turning in valuable scores were Ben Murray (75) and Daniel Langley (75) at three-over. David Liu and Ryan Fowler weren’t far behind, each scoring 76 for the first round of play respectively. Also contributing for the ‘Fish was David Jizdny with a score of 80.
The Palm Beach Atlantic men’s golf team has completed the fall portion of their schedule and will return to the course on February 7th at the Titan Invitational in Melbourne, Fla.
