Men's Golf Completes Stellar Week at UNG Invitational

Dahlonega, Ga.- The Palm Beach Atlantic Men’s Golf team finished up play at the University of North Georgia Invitational Tuesday with a bang. The team one-upped their record breaking performance from last week with another in the third and final Round of UNG’s Invitational, setting records for low round (292) and for overall total (883). The ‘Fish finished 11th in a talented field of 17 that saw Lee University come out on top with an overall score of 836.
Day One: Leading the way for the ‘Fish was Ben Murray, shooting a solid three-over par in the first round, and following it up with a remarkable one-under performance in the second (75-71-146). David Liu was also a top player in Monday’s competition as he was consistently impressive throughout the day with scores of 73 and 75 for a composite four-over par (148). Dylan Allen (77-73-150) and Daniel Langley (78-73-151) also had good outings as they sit at 6 and 7 over par, respectively. Trent Harris was also in action for the Sailfish shooting a two-over in the first round and ending up 10-over at the end of the first day (74-80-154).
Day Two: The team’s strong performance in Round 3 was headed up by David Liu, who shot 2-under par (73-75-70-218), and Ben Murray, who was only 1-over (75-71-73-219). No Sailfish shot over a 75 during the final round as Trent Harris finished up with a 74 and Dylan Allen and Daniel Langley correspondingly shot 75’s.
The Sailfish look to once again build upon a record breaking week the next time they hit the links Oct. 25-27 at the McDonough Cup in Orlando, Fla.
