Women's Soccer Falls to Panthers

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic (4-4-0, 2-2 SSC) women’s soccer team was outmatched Wednesday night at the Rinker Athletic Campus, as they fell to Florida Tech(6-3-0, 3-2 SSC), by a score of 3-0.
The Panthers got on the board first off the head of Elin Svensson, as the junior scored her first goal of the season. Svensson would eventually add her second goal in the 72nd minute to make the game 3-0. In between Svensson goals was a Panther goal from Eva Banton, as she scored in the 58th minute.
Sailfish goalie Isabelle Granlund made five saves in goal for the ‘Fish and was relieved late by Kayla Wincko, who would finish the game in net.
The game was dominated by the FIT defense, as goalkeeper Julia Kantor saved all four shots that came her way, posting her fourth shutout of the season.
Palm Beach Atlantic will look to get back on track Saturday night as the ‘Fish travel to Davie, Fla. to take on Nova Southeastern University at 7 p.m.
