WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Palm Beach Atlantic women's soccer team fell short Sunday afternoon to the University of North Alabama by a final score of 3-1. The loss drops Palm Beach Atlantic to 2-2-0 on the young season.

North Alabama (3-0-1) got on the board first with a Chloe Richard penalty kick in the 19th minute following a PBA foul in the box. Just 10 minutes later Richard would add her fifth goal of the season on a header just out of the reach of Palm Beach Atlantic goalkeeper Kayla Wincko.

The score would remain 2-0 until the 70th minute when Jaime Montgomery would put the ‘Fish on the board collecting a rebound of her own shot attempt and firing a shot past the Lion goalie. The goal moves Montgomery into the team lead with three goals just four games in the season.

The Sailfish would have several scoring chances during the final 20 minutes of the match but were unable to complete, and North Alabama added a late goal to seal a 3-1 victory.

Palm Beach Atlantic is back at the Rinker Athletic Campus on Wednesday September 16th, as they play host to Sunshine State Conference member and Palm Beach County rival Lynn University at 7 pm.
