BOCA RATON, Fla.-  The Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish came out with a fiery passion Friday afternoon as they beat defending NCCAA National Champions Lee University 6-0 at day one of the Wyndham Deerfield Beach Men's Soccer Classic hosted by Lynn University; which keeps the ‘Fish undefeated in the early year, as they move to 4-0-0.

After a 3-1 defeat at the hands of the Flames last year in the same tournament, the Sailfish were determined for revenge, and the Sailfish offense exploded for twenty-four shots on goal in the game.

Lucas DaSilva got things going for the ‘Fish as he scored in the 27th minute off the assist from Lucas Coutinho. Oscar Farias followed up the goal with one of his own two minutes later off an assist from Jermaine Metz.

The Sailfish would go into the half leading the Flames 2-0, and out shooting Lee 13-1.

Farias added his second goal of the night in the 68th minute off an assist from DaSilva

Jerry Saint-Vil scored in the 75th minute off a low cross across the box from Coutinho that gave the ‘Fish a 4-0 lead over the defending NCCAA champs. Thirty-five seconds later, Zac Sitler, who had just checked into the game after the Saint-Vil goal, scored off a rebounded shot from DaSilva, spreading the gap even further.

The final knockout blow came in the 88th minute as Phill Cardoso ripped an absolute bomb from about 25 yards out beating the unsuspecting keeper. The goal was set up by a beautiful pass across from Chris Sandys-Thomas.

Once again the Sailfish were dominate on the defensive end. The backline of Michael O'Sullivan, Neil Slooves, Lucas Kuscevic, and Steven Fiema were too much for Lee to handle, as the Flames were only to get off three shots, with only one of them being on goal, and was a save by Steeven Raymont. Raymont advances to 4-0-0 on the year and picked up his second clean sheet of the season.

The Sailfish are back in action tomorrow afternoon, Sept. 12, in the final day of the Wyndham Deerfield Beach Men's Soccer Classic hosted by Lynn University as they battle Delta State. The game is set for a 4 pm. The ‘Fish will be back at the Rinker Athletic Campus Saturday Sept. 26, as they host the University of Tampa at 7 pm.
