WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic softball team and head coach Kimmy Bloemers have announced that the Sailfish will take on the University of Florida as a part of their fall schedule with a trip to Gainesville and Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium on Oct. 11 at 3 pm.

This is the first meeting in program history between the Sailfish and the Gators.

Palm Beach Atlantic will utilize their remaining NCAA-allotted exhibition contests in January as they prepare for the start of the regular season. The Sailfish are expected to return a strong core from last season’s team that narrowly missed the NCAA postseason despite tying a program-record of 33 wins.

The Gators are coming off back-to-back NCAA Division I National Championship seasons in which they have combined for a record of 115-19 under head coach Tim Walton.

Palm Beach Atlantic has two other recent UF softball connections with the hiring of former Gators standout Bailey Castro as an assistant coach this season while also hosting former All-American Lauren Haeger as part of the program’s Elite Winter Camp on December 12th.

The full Spring schedule for Palm Beach Atlantic will be released later this Fall.
