Sailfish Sweep Past Cedarville to National Semi-Final

MOBILE, Ala. – The Palm Beach Atlantic men’s tennis team continued their dominance in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) pool play on Wednesday morning, sweeping away Cedarville University 5-0 to grab the top spot in their pool and to move on to the national semi-finals.

PBA started off on the right foot thanks to Nicolas Uryson and Romain Nowacyzk sweeping aside the CU top pairing, 8-0. The other two Sailfish combinations of Mark Heimberger and Nicholas Battistini as well as Matt Leeds and Fernando Arroyo won handedly as well by tallies of 8-4 and 8-1.

Needing just two singles matches to go their way, Battistini and Arroyo took care of business for Palm Beach Atlantic with wins by scores of 6-0, 6-0 and 6-2, 6-2 respectively.

The victory gives Palm Beach Atlantic a record of 20-3 on the season.

PBA moves on to the national semi-final and will play McMurray University, the second seed of the other pool, on Thursday morning at 10:00 am EST.
