WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic stumbled against Saint Leo University in the series opener on Friday night, falling 16-2 at Rubin Park.

PBA got on the board first thanks to a two-run bloop single down the right field line by Jorge Bravo that scored Andres Vazquez and Brian Walker. Unfortunately, the Sailfish would score no more, as they’d go on to add seven more hits but never plate another run.

SLU took its first lead of the game in the third with a five-run frame off starter Josh Turner (Loss, 4-6) and reliever Sean Horner. The Lions put the game out of reach with another five run inning in the fifth, and would go on to add six more over the final three innings.

The Sailfish had four players finish the night with two hits, with Walker and Bravo tacking on singles later in the game, while Sean Visconti and Jason Webb had two-hit performances as well.

Palm Beach Atlantic will host Saint Leo for a double-header to finish up the regular season on Friday, with first pitch slated for 12:00 noon.
