WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - PBA men’s basketball coach David Balza has announced the summer of 2015 boys’ basketball camp schedule to be hosted in the Rubin Arena on the campus of Palm Beach Atlantic University.

There will be four camps hosted by the Sailfish this summer, starting with Individual Skills Camps running June 8-11 and June 15-18. This camp is designed for boys entering grades 3-11. Campers will be introduced to a wide array of drills that will keep them busy working on their game well beyond camp. Cost for commuters is $295 (includes lunch) and for overnight campers is $395 (includes all meals). Camp will run from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Another option during the June dates is the Skills Day Camp, which is designed as a half-day version of the overnight camp for the younger campers. The cost is $155 and does not include any meals, and is primarily focused on basic skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, and defense. Campers will also take part in team skills and competitions, while also getting a t-shirt and basketball.

The other individual camp is the Sailfish Elite Camp from August 3-4. This camp is intended for serious high school and junior high student-athletes, and provides an opportunity to perform in front of the PBA coaching staff. The camp is run like a series of college practices, with drills designed to test the player’s ability and skill level. The cost of the Elite $195 for overnight campers (including all meals) and $150 for commuters (including lunch). There will be short scrimmage segments during both days of camp, which runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and all campers will receive a jersey.

Finally, Palm Beach Atlantic will also host two Sailfish Shootout Team Camps, first being June 12-13 and the second being June 19-20. The focus of the Shootouts is to give high school teams an opportunity to compete with one another in a structured basketball environment. Each session is a three-game tournament. If you are looking for even more games, there is a Pick Two discount that allows you to play six games over the two days. PBA’s coaching staff will be on hand to observe, evaluate and give added consultation to teams. The cost of camp is $180 per team per session, and the Pick Two discount is $350 per team if playing in the two sessions.
