INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – On Wednesday afternoon the NCAA released its first regional tennis rankings of the 2015 season, and the Palm Beach Atlantic men’s tennis squad finds themselves currently ranked eighth in the south region.

The top eight teams from the region go on to participate in the NCAA Regional tournament, with the top two seeds serving as hosts.

Barry is the top team in the region, while West Florida, Saint Leo, Lynn and Valdosta State make up the rest of the top five. Just ahead of PBA in the rankings are Rollins and North Alabama, who come in at six and seven respectively.

As it currently stands, Palm Beach Atlantic would be set to play at Barry against the nation’s top team to open up regional play. The Sailfish last made the NCAA postseason in the 2008 season as the No. 8 seed and coincidentally played the Buccaneers, losing 5-0.

Both Palm Beach Atlantic tennis teams host Flagler College on Saturday for the last home match of the 2015 season, beginning at 3:00 pm.
