On the horizon for the Sailfish women’s soccer camps is a residential camp that will be held August 13-15th. The residential camp is designed to improve the skill level and tactical understanding of players 13-18, and is for any player who wants to take her game to the next level while experiencing all that Palm Beach Atlantic University and the local West Palm Beach area has to offer.
The Palm Beach Atlantic Soccer Staff, players, and other local college coaches will put the girls through technical and tactical sessions. It also serves as an ID Camp for all of the Colleges and Universities represented at camp. Practice sessions will be intense and very competitive to challenge at every level of the player's ability.
Also being offered is a Goalkeeper School along with camp. Goalkeepers will go through a variety of exercises to teach the proper technical skills related to goalkeeping. This training along with teaching goalkeepers the tactical nuances of being a successful GK in today's game will be addressed.
The camp will also include a classroom session on mental conditioning and each camper will receive a copy of Coach Gnehm’s soccer specific mental conditioning book. This camp will also include a morning at the beach. It is very important for today's players to have a clear mind, and nothing does this better than a few hours at the beach!
