Sailfish Fall Apart Late, Fall 11-4 to NSU

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic bullpen fell apart late against No. 4 ranked Nova Southeastern University Monday night, giving up eight runs over the final three innings en route to an 11-4 loss at the hands of the Sharks at Rubin Park.

PBA and NSU were locked in a one-run game up until the fateful ninth, with the Sailfish putting runs on the board in the second and fourth innings to take an early lead.

Nova Southeastern tied the game up with a three-run homer in the sixth inning, and took the lead an inning later against reliever Sean Horner (Loss, 1-1).

The ninth inning featured six walks, three errors, and three base hits by the Sharks, as well as three relief pitchers for Palm Beach Atlantic.

Overall, the Sailfish outhit the Sharks 10-9, but also committed five errors

PBA’s offense was led by Peter Rivera, who finished the night 3-for-5 with a double. Sean Visconti and Jake Summey also added two-hit performances for the ‘Fish.

Palm Beach Atlantic returns to action Tuesday evening when they travel to Melbourne, Fla. to take on Florida Tech at 6:00 pm.
