Women's Tennis Makes It Eight In A Row

West Palm Beach, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic women’s tennis team made easy work of Webber International University Saturday afternoon, to give the ‘Fish their eighth consecutive win, and their fourteenth on the campaign.

The Sailfish and Warriors faced on in two doubles matches on the day, and the ‘Fish took them both. Even Vasquez and Leyla Taracena posted the first win 8-1, and they were followed by Valerie Nagovitcina and Michaela Mignemi, who won 8-1.

The Warriors were no match for the Sailfish on the singles side either, as the ‘Fish won all five contests of the afternoon. Nagovitcina got things started for the ‘Fish with a 6-2, 6-0 win. Joanna Peshev was victorious in the second spot, winning 6-2, 6-1. Ana Reich won easily, 6-0, 6-0. Dezi Bowman won 6-0, 6-5 in her only action on the afternoon, and Mignemi rounded off the afternoon with a 6-2, 6-0 win for the Sailfish.

Women’s tennis will be back in action looking to make it nine in a row on April 11th at the Mitch Gornto Tennis Center as they take on Flagler College at 3 p.m.
