Womens Golf Competes in Bulldog Invitational

Jacksonville, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic women’s golf team is competing in their second tournament of the week in Jacksonville as they compete in the Bulldog Florida Invitational hosted by Butler University. 

The Sailfish are in 8th place after a disappointing first round score of 389 coupled with some good scores from their tough competition.  Southern Indiana is leading the tournament after the first round with a score of 316.  Tournament host Butler University is 2 strokes behind Southern Indiana with a first round 318. 

Taryn Runnels shot the lone top-25 round for the ‘Fish on Wednesday afternoon.   Runnels’ 13-over par 85 is good for a tie in 24th place on the leaderboard. 

The Bulldog Invitational will wrap up on Thursday from Windsor Parke Golf Club.  Stay tuned for final results upon completion of the tournament.
