Sailfish Beat Fighting Scots 8-1

HILTON HEAD, S.C.- The Sailfish men’s tennis team defeated the Edinboro Fighting Scots Tuesday morning by a final score of 9-1 in day two of the Hilton Head Spring Break Challenge.
The Sailfish dropped the opening contest with Romain Nowaczyk and Nicolas Uryson losing the first doubles matchup 8-6. The Sailfish quickly recovered though, taking the next eight sets. The dup of Mark Heimberger and Matt Leeds picked up an 8-6 victory in the second doubles set, and they were followed by an 8-5 victory from Asti Adams and Nicholas Battistini.
The Sailfish continued their winnings ways on the singles end of the day as well, winning all six sets. Nicholas Uryson posted a 6-3, 6-0 win to lead things off, followed by a 6-1, 6-3 victory from Romain Nowaczyk. Mark Heimberger won 6-1, 6-1 in the third sport, and Asti Adams won 6-4, 6-3.
The last two singles sets of the day, went in favor of Nicholas Battistini (6-2, 6-3) and Matt Leeds (3-6, 6-1, 10-7).
