Sailfish Swoop Past Hawks, 9-0

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Sailfish men’s tennis team advances to a 5-2 record after a 9-0 win over Chowan University earlier Monday morning in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

The Sailfish swooped past the Hawks on all accounts, starting with an 8-3 win in doubles by Romain Nowaczyk and Nicolas Uryson, followed by a second 8-3 win from the duo of Mark Heimberger and Matt Leeds. The final doubles competition of the morning also went in favor of the Sailfish, with Asti Adams and Nicholas Battistini posting an 8-2 win.

On the singles side, the Sailfish swept the Hawks away as well. Beginning with Romain Nowaczyk posting a 6-3, 6-0 win over Chowan’s number one. Nicolas Uryson followed with a 6-1, 6-1 win at number two, and Mark Heimberger joined the part with a 6-2, 6-3 victory at number three.

Chowan’s four, five, and six were no match for the Sailfish either. Asti Adams won 6-2, 6-1, followed by a 6-4, 6-2 victory from Nicholas Battistini, as well as a 6-0, 6-2 win from Matt Leeds.

Palm Beach Atlantic is back in action tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. in the Hilton Head Spring Break challenge vs. Edinburg University.
