WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Sailfish women’s tennis team capped off an exciting evening for Palm Beach Atlantic at the Rinker Athletic Campus, defeating Lewis University 5-4 at the Mitch Gornto Tennis Complex and giving PBA four wins in four sports on the night.

The Sailfish kicked the match off by winning two of three doubles matches, with Maja Jovic and Yoanna Peshev winning 8-5 and Michaela Mignemi and Leyla Taracena cruising to an 8-0 victory.

Senior Veena Vasquez was the only one of the top three Sailfish to pull out a victory, defeating her opponent in the number two spot 6-1, 6-1. PBA then got a big lift from their five and six players, Taracena and Ana Reich, who each swept their adversaries 6-0, 6-0.

Palm Beach Atlantic is back in action Thursday afternoon when they travel to Orlando for a neutral site matchup with Saginaw Valley State at 4:00 pm.
