WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic baseball continued their winning ways on Wednesday night, knocking out eight hits en route to an 8-1 victory over Wilmington University at Rubin Park.

Senior starter Kennie Silvestri painted a masterpiece on the mound for the Sailfish, working into the seventh inning and allowing just one run on three hits while striking three and walking none.

PBA got on the board in the second inning when Brian Walker started what would be a tremendous night. The senior lined a double to right-center field and then took third on an outfielder bobble. Fellow senior Jason Webb hit a sacrifice fly to bring home the first run of the game.

Two innings later Walker launched the first Sailfish home run in Rubin Park history over the left field wall, a two-run shot, to make the score 3-0.

Neither team was mustering much offense until the seventh inning when each pushed across a run, putting PBA ahead 4-1. The eighth inning was the frame that finally put the game out of reach when the Sailfish plated four runs, two unearned, to swell the advantage to seven.

Walker finished the night 3-for-3 at the dish, adding a walk and single to his double and homer. No one else in the lineup had multi-hit games, but redshirt-sophomore Sean Visconti added a triple to the eight total hits.

Palm Beach Atlantic returns to action on Friday night when they welcome Eckerd College to Rubin Park for a three-game series, beginning at 6:00 pm.
