WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic men’s tennis team nearly pulled an upset of epic proportions on Tuesday night, taking the No. 7 ranked Lynn University Knights to the limit before ultimately falling 5-4 from the Mitch Gornto Tennis Complex.
The competition opened up well for the Sailfish, who won two of three doubles thanks to an 8-5 win from Romain Nowaczyk and Nicholas Uryson as well as an 8-2 win for Asti Adams and Nicholas Battistini.
Singles, however, went the way of the Fighting Knights, who took four of the six battles to win the match. Uryson was victorious as the number two pairing, 6-3, 6-3, and Battistini also won his number five matchup 6-4, 6-4.
Palm Beach Atlantic is set to hit a busy part of their season, starting with an away match at St. Thomas University on Saturday, February 28th starting at 11:00 am.
