Men's Golf Finishes 5th at FIT Panther Invite

MELBOURNE, Fla. - The Palm Beach Atlantic men’s golf team wrapped up play at the FIT Panther Invitational on Tuesday afternoon from Duran Golf Club, finishing in fifth place at the conclusion of the three day tournament.
Eastern Florida State College finished atop the leaderboard for the tournament, posting three impressive rounds of 283, 289, and 289 to finish the tournament 3-under par. FIT and Johnson & Wales finished in a tie for second at +15. The Sailfish posted a final score of 919 (305-303-311), to finish in a tie for sixth place with Embry Riddle University.
Luke Johanson led the 'Fish this week, firing rounds of 77, 71, and 73 to finish at 5-over par which was good for a 12th place finish. Following Luke on the leaderboard for the Sailfish were Ben Murray (75-78-77, 230), Daniel Langley (71-78-81, 230), Kyle Kubala (81-81-75, 237), Dylan Allen (82-76-80, 238), and Bryan Gagnon (83-84-85, 252). Luke Johanson's round of 71 tied a career best and Daniel Langley's round of 71 set a new career best 18 hole score.
The Sailfish will be back in action in a couple weeks, opening up play at the Warner University Spring Golf Classic on March 2nd.
