LIVINGSTON, Ala. – For the second straight day, Palm Beach Atlantic struggled to get their bats going and had struggles on the mound against the University of West Alabama, falling on the road by a 7-2 final from Tartt Field.

Starter Ryan Cota (Loss, 0-1) only managed one inning of work, walking four and surrendering two earned runs. The offense managed only two hits, singles by Peter Rivera and Andres Vazquez, through the first eight innings of the game.

Once again the Sailfish tried to rally in the ninth inning but to no avail. After a Pat Kane walk started the inning, Sean Visconti drove in the first run of the game with a double. Two outs later Brian Walker knocked in the second run of the game for PBA, but the rally would fizzle out before the game got any closer.

The offense was led by Peter Rivera, who went 2-for-4 at the plate. Visconti had the lone extra-base hit with his ninth inning double.

Palm Beach Atlantic wraps up their weekend series with West Alabama Sunday when they kick things off at noon. The Sailfish return to Rubin Park at the Rinker Athletic Campus on Tuesday, February 10th against Barry University, starting at 7:00 pm.
