WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- Palm Beach Atlantic head baseball coach Kent Bottenfield has released the 2015 schedule for the Sailfish which is set to kick off against Lynn University on Feb. 3, 2014 at Rubin Park at PBA’s very own Rinker Athletic Campus.

The 2015 season marks the first time in program history that the Sailfish will have their very own home field and they will treat PBA fans to 31 total home games this year.

After PBA kicks off the season with their home opener against Lynn they’ll travel to Alabama to take on the University of West Alabama in a three-game set (Feb. 6-8). They’ll then host Barry (Feb. 10) and fellow Sunshine State Conference provisional member Embry-Riddle (Feb. 17) in the middle of February, and play two key South Region series on the road, first at Barry (Feb. 20-21) and then at Florida Southern (Feb. 27-28).

March will be considered the month of home games for Palm Beach Atlantic, as they host 16-straight games at Rubin Park during the month. They’ll play host to the likes of Eckerd College (Mar. 6-7) and perennial national power Tampa (Mar. 20-21), as well as a host of schools from northern states like Wilmington University (Mar. 4), American International College (Mar. 9), Merrimack College (Mar. 10) and Southern Connecticut State (Mar. 12).

Once the calendar turns to April the Sailfish will play an interesting mix of single games and more traditional series. They’ll travel to Nova Southeastern (Apr. 7 & Apr. 21) on two different occasions  as well as NCAA Division I opponent Florida International University (Apr. 22) in Miami. Palm Beach Atlantic will end the year with six consecutive home games in traditional three-game series fashion against Florida Tech (Apr. 24-25) and Saint Leo (Apr. 30-May1).

Double-header games against Sunshine State Conference opponents will be played as two nine-inning affairs as opposed to the former style of one nine-inning and one seven-inning game.

The NCAA Regional Tournament is set to take place on May 14-17 at a site to be determined.
