WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- A year removed from making their second-ever trip to the NCAA Tournament the Sailfish softball team is gearing up for making another postseason run in 2015. Palm Beach Atlantic head coach Kimmy Bloemers enters her ninth season at the helm of the Sailfish softball program and will lead the team into a new era as they will officially debut at their new home, Simpson Field at the Rinker Athletic Campus.

The season will officially kickoff at the Eckerd College Tournament in Clearwater, Fla. on Feb. 6-8, 2015 as the Sailfish will do battle with five teams at the annual tournament hosted by the Tritons.

The early portion of the 2015 schedule will test the Sailfish heavily on the road as they will take on four Sunshine State Conference opponents before making their long-anticipated home debut at Simpson Field.

Early-season road trips include traveling to Barry University (Feb. 11), Saint Leo University (Feb. 14), Eckerd College (Feb. 15) and Florida Tech (Feb. 20).

Following their long road swing the team will return home to host the University of Tampa on Saturday, Feb. 21st for a double-header at 12 pm. A special ceremony and field dedication will take place as part of the opening games.

Just three days later the Sailfish will welcome in Florida Southern College for a double-header on Feb. 24th while rounding out the month at nearby Lynn University in Boca Raton on Feb. 28th.

The month of March will feature a total of four home double-headers against the likes of Nova Southeastern University (Mar. 4), Saint Leo (Mar. 18), Florida Tech (Mar. 24) and the University of North Alabama (Mar. 25). They will also travel to Columbus, Ga. for a tournament on Mar. 7-8 before taking on Georgia Southwestern University (Mar. 10) as a part of their road trip through the Peach State.

After their busy time on the road in February the team makes up for it during the important month of April as they will welcome in five teams for double-headers to close out the season. Senior Night is scheduled to take place on April 25th when PBA welcomes in Rollins College at 2 pm.

The regular season will close out on May 1st with a pair of road contests at Nova Southeastern University.

Following that final double-header versus the Sharks the Sailfish will then hope to advance to NCAA postseason play at a later determined campus site.
