TIFFIN, OHIO- With the Palm Beach Atlantic men’s soccer team preparing for postseason play at the NCCAA Regional Tournament next week the first wave of postseason award announcements have come through with the naming of the Independent Collegiate Athletic Association (ICAA) teams. Senior Branden Langenberg and redshirt sophomore Cameron Roberts were both selected from the Sailfish.

The ICAA is composed of NCAA Division II schools that are not in a conference.  Men’s soccer members are California State University- San Marcos, Chowan University, Concordia-Irvine, Concordia-Portland, Embry Riddle (Fla.), Oakland City University, Oklahoma Baptist University, Palm Beach Atlantic, Southern Wesleyan University and Spring Hill College. The All-ICAA selections are made by ICAA Director, Mike Bond.

A senior from Jacksonville, Fla. Langenberg earned All-ICAA first-team honors for the third straight year as he rounds out his career wearing a Sailfish uniform.

A disciplined defender, Langenberg finished the regular season having played in all 17 matches while tallying 1,141 minutes of field time to date. He has chipped in a pair of assists while also helping lead the ‘Fish to six shutouts for the season.

Roberts earned his first All-ICAA distinction in his third season at PBA. Having missed almost the entire 2013 season due to injury, the Plant City, Fla. native returned this season and has been one of the most consistent and dangerous scoring options up top for the Sailfish.

He is tied for the team lead with five goals and 13 total points as he has also chipped in three assists in 15 matches. Although a few nagging injuries have cost him some time he has still managed to play 857 minutes so far this season.
The ICAA Coach of the Year went to Stephen Peck of Oakland City.  The Hawks finished the season 11-7 and tied for fourth in the ICAA.  Chowan had won just 10 games in the previous seven seasons combined.

Player and Freshman of the Year went to Terell Williamson of Chowan.  The midfielder scored 24 goals with five assists for 53 points.  He currently leads NCAA Division II in total goals and goals per game (1.33), second in total points and third in points per game (2.94).  Williamson has scored five game winning goals this season.
