Golf Teams Wrap Up Fall At Beyond the Roar Invitational

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic had both their men’s and women’s golf teams in action over the weekend at the Beyond the Roar Invitational hosted by Warner University at the Country Club of Winter Haven.  The men placed fourth in the tournament while the women finished fifth.

Andy Peterson put together the best performance of the fall for the Sailfish, coming in at just seven over par (72, 79, 151) and tying for third place. Ben Murray tied for tenth place with a 156 (77, 79), and Sean Boyle tied for 15th with a 158 (79, 79). Daniel Langley (79, 80, 159), Luke Johanson (80, 81, 161) and Dylan Allen (86, 80, 166) rounded out the scoring for PBA.

On the women’s side, Taryn Runnels finished in 12th place with a 184 (94, 90) and Hayley Betz came in 17th with a 193 (96, 97). Michelle Turner (95, 103, 198) tied for 18th and Bailey Sprague (132, 118, 250) turned in the final PBA card. This was the first and only fall event for the women’s team.

With the conclusion of the fall season, head coach Craig Watson and the team now look forward to the championship season which begins in the second semester.
