Johanson Turns In Top Card For PBA at McDonough Cup

ORLANDO, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic men’s golf participated in one of the strongest fall competitions in the country at the beginning of the week, taking part in the McDonough Cup hosted by Rollins College at the Rio Pinar Country Club.

The Sailfish finished 17th out of 18 in the competition against some of the nation’s premier Division II golf programs. Lynn University finished first place overall with a score of 853, followed by Nova Southeastern at second, Florida Southern third, and Florida Tech coming in at fourth. There was a three-way tie for fifth place between Saint Leo, West Florida and Tampa.

Luke Johanson turned in the best card for PBA, tying for 18th with an overall score of 219 (73, 74, 72). Ben Murray (79, 75, 80, 234), finished tied for 73rd, while Daniel Langley (75, 75, 87, 237) and Bryan Gagnon (87, 82, 80, 249) brought home the final two scores for the Sailfish.

Palm Beach Atlantic returns to the links November 1st for their final tournament of the fall season, participating in the Warner University “Beyond the Drive” Tournament.
