WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic women’s soccer gave NSCAA No. 11 ranked Rollins College all they could handle Tuesday night, but ultimately fell to the Tars 2-0 at the Rinker Athletic Campus.

RC showed their offensive prowess throughout the night, registering 34 total shots and 14 shots on goal. PBA managed just two shots on goal in six total attempts.

After a scoreless first half, Rollins broke the scoring open in the 69th minute on a Samantha Collin goal that was assisted by Brenna McKee. The Tars made it 2-0 on a penalty kick in the 88th minute.

The Sailfish were mere inches away from the equalizer in the 77th minute when Monica Rojas blasted a shot off the crossbar. Unfortunately the ‘Fish were unable to find the back of the net and only managed three other shots in the half.

Keeper Kayla Wincko had another stellar performance in goal for Palm Beach Atlantic, tying her career-best of 12 saves on the night.

PBA returns to action on Thursday evening to celebrate 2014 senior night against the University of Tampa at 7 pm.
