No. 3 Lions Take Down Sailfish, 3-0

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic played host to NSCAA No. 3 Saint Leo University on Tuesday night at the Rinker Athletic Campus and fell to the Lions by a 3-0 final.

The Lions opened up the scoring in the first half with an unassisted goal by Tobias Runowski in the 29th minute. PBA would outshoot Saint Leo for the night, but SLU won the possession battle and the Sailfish failed to find the back of the net.

In the second half Saint Leo added two more goals in a six-minute span, first on a Brandon Rivera goal with an assist from Runowski and then the final blow from Kandai Otsuka in the 79th minute.

Palm Beach Atlantic totaled five shots on goal for the game, with Manuel Schoenhuber stopping each one. The clean slate was the seventh on the season for Saint Leo.

The Sailfish return to action on Tuesday, October 14th, playing host to the Barry Buccaneers at the Rinker Athletic Campus at 7 pm.
