Palm Beach Atlantic head softball coach Kimmy Bloemers looks to add to her recent success and return to the NCAA South Regional tournament with an exciting 2014-15 recruiting class. Eight newcomers are being added to an impressive group of 12 returners, once again giving Bloemers great depth going into the season.
“We had a winning season and a trip to the NCAA Regional tournament in 2014 and although it was an honor to play in postseason, we did not make our mark and play strong,” says Bloemers. “My goal this year was to fill any holes we may have had last year so the PBA softball team could be strong enough to play in Regionals and beyond.”
She adds, “I am very happy with the eight new girls who will wear a Sailfish uniform for the 2015 season. We will have a complete pitching staff of five, more speed on the bases, and arguably one of the best offensive lineups PBA has ever had on the softball diamond. All of these young ladies have the heart and passion for this great game of softball and I am looking forward to see them join with the strong twelve returners to make a championship team.”
