Tars Defeat Sailfish 7-2 In Shortened Affair

WINTER PARK, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic traveled to Winter Park Wednesday afternoon to play Rollins College in swamp-like conditions. After falling behind 7-2, the Sailfish and Tars were halted with two outs in the seventh and the game stands as final.

PBA tied up the score in the second inning after surrendering a run in the bottom of the first. Unfortunately, RC would score two runs in the second, sixth, and seventh innings to handedly take the afternoon’s game.

Junior Andres Vazquez generated the offense for Palm Beach Atlantic, going 2-for-3 at the plate with two doubles and scoring both of PBA’s runs. Spencer Castro picked up the lone RBI of the day, finishing 1-for-3.

Freshman Sean Horner (Loss, 0-2) pitched into the sixth inning for the first time in his PBA career, surrendering four earned runs along the way.

Palm Beach Atlantic’s final series of the season commences this Friday at Palm Beach County rival Lynn University in Boca Raton, beginning at 3:00 PM.
