NSU Roughs Up PBA Before Rain Washes Out Saturday Double Header

JUPITER, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic got roughed around in the first game of Saturday’s double-header with Nova Southeastern, losing 20-5 before rain washed out the day’s second game at the Roger Dean Stadium Complex.

PBA and NSU will reconvene in the top of the second inning with the Sharks leading 4-0 Sunday afternoon from the Roger Dean Complex beginning at 1 PM.

Game One
It was a tight game in the beginning, with Nova Southeastern jumping out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning and Palm Beach Atlantic having to chip their way back into the contest. By the fifth inning the Sailfish had made it a one-run game at 5-4, but the Sharks would erupt over the final four frames.

NSU scored six runs in the fifth inning, three in the sixth, four more in the eighth, and tacked on an additional two in the ninth inning. PBA was only able to counter with a single run in the sixth frame.

Offensively Palm Beach Atlantic was able to collect 11 base hits and were led by Elliott Gonzalez, Chris Farrell, and Spencer Castro, who each collected two knocks on the afternoon.
