Maja Jovic the Latest PBA Tennis Standout Selected as NCCAA Player of the Week

GREENVILLE, S.C.- Fresh off completing a perfect 8-0 week against their competition over Spring Break in Orlando, Florida the Sailfish women’s tennis team has once again had a student-athlete named the NCCAA National Player of the Week. Freshman Maja Jovic is the third PBA women’s tennis player to earn the honor following her superb play alongside her teammates last week.

A native of Ontario, Canada, Jovic finished a perfect 8-0 in singles and doubles last week as the ‘Fish earned wins over teams such as Stonehill College, Alvernia University, Minnesota State-Mankato, Seton Hill University, Wingate University and Wesleyan University. 

The team is now 12-5 with a match scheduled for Thursday, March 20th versus SCAD-Atlanta in Kissimmee, Fla.

The other PBA players selected as NCCAA Players of the Week include Veena Vasquez and Jessica Wharton.
