WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic men’s tennis team put together a great effort but in the end they would fall short on Saturday afternoon against Warner (Fla.) University. The Royals and Sailfish would battle but in the end Warner came away with an 8-1 win on a sunny afternoon at Gaines Park.
The Sailfish lone win on the afternoon came at No. 3-singles as Mark Heimberger came away with a 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 win.
The top five singles matchups would all go three sets between the two teams with the Royals unfortunately coming out on top outside of Heimberger’s win at No. 3-singles.
Nicolas Uryson (No. 1-singles) and Nicholas Battistini (No. 4-singles) each fought back from set one losses but would eventually be defeated.
The ‘Fish will head to St. Augustine, Fla. on Sunday afternoon for a matchup at Flagler College beginning at 12 pm.
