Andrea Jefferson and Kasey Wyer Land Spots on the NSCAA All-Region Listing

KANSAS CITY, Kan.- With the Sailfish women’s soccer season officially in the books the team has continued to receive individual accolades. On Wednesday a pair of Palm Beach Atlantic players were named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Region second-team in senior Andrea Jefferson and sophomore Kasey Wyer.
Jefferson rounds out her career as top-shelf defender for the ‘Fish the past four seasons following a strong career at The King’s Academy in West Palm Beach.
She helped lead PBA’s defensive work in 2013 with a 1.34 goals against average while leading her team back to the NCCAA National Tournament. Jefferson also added in two goals and two assists while logging a team-high 1,476 minutes of field time. She was named to the NSCAA All-Region third-team following the 2012 season.
Wyer, a native of Greer, S.C. adds NSCAA recognition to her growing list of accolades from this season after being named to the NCCAA All-Region and All-ICAA first-teams.
A multi-faceted player who has excelled at many positions on the field, Wyer led the Sailfish this season with 10 assists and 24 total points while adding in seven goals. Two of her seven goals were game-winning scores.
The University of West Florida led the South Region with four NSCAA first-team selections while Lee University added three first-team selections.
